I started working with Katie in 2019 because I was tired of clothes not fitting well, knowing that I could be and feel healthier and that my own motivation/desire wasn’t getting me there. Starting with insightful guidance on nutrition, grounded in data, and holding me accountable with good feedback loops - over the course of 9 months I had a much better relationship with nutrition and felt so much better. When the pandemic hit, Katie encouraged me to jumpstart my exercise. Never having been a runner, I decided to overcome my fear/perception of running and with Katie’s encouragement, teaching, making a plan and helping me stick to it. I was able to complete my first half marathon and then PR each subsequent race. Working with Katie has been the first time in my life that the “easier” path has been healthy nutrition and regular training. Katie’s knowledge, applied experience, and the results she’s helped me achieve are why I’ve referred her to family, friends, and co-workers.

I am a mountain biker who was training for The Leadville 100 Mountain Bike Race. I wanted to ensure I completed this hard-core challenge and knew I needed a sports nutritionist to help give me every chance possible to get the coveted Leadville 100 belt buckle. I was referred to Katie and had the best experience with her. Katie taught me so much about nutrition not only for daily life but also for the race. This was exactly what I was looking for and Katie delivered perfectly. With Katie’s expertise and working sessions, she would break down complex sports science into layman’s terms for me. It was then up to me to execute her plan. Leading up to the race, Katie laid out a detailed plan to ensure I was fueled pre-race and during the race. I followed her plan to the word and on race day felt great. I never once felt that I would bonk and felt great the entire day. I attribute it to the scientific approach Katie taught me and had me execute. I really appreciated working with Katie and know she was a huge part of me accomplishing my goal. I kept telling her “you are so good at what you do” and I meant it.
